Precise Eye Ultra utilise Microscope Objectives for increased magnification and to achieve unmatched flatness and clarity. Fields of view from 2.89(h) x 2.16(v) to 0.04(h) x 0.03(v) mm.

Compact Machine Vision Combination
When working distance is 356mm the available fields of view are:

  • 21 x 15mm, 14 x 10mm, 10 x 8mm or 7 x 5mm. Fine focus option available.
  • Use with 9” CRT or 10.4” LCD monitors for image quality and space saving. Illustrated with Watec 902 monochrome camera.

12x and 12x Ultrazoom Systems

All 12x Zoom models have a parfocal zoom lens system with a high NA to achieve higher resolution and improved optical clarity. Achievable field of view from 0.15mm to 72mm. Use with cameras up to 2/3” CCD.

Accessories include right angle adapters, co-axial illumination, fine focus, telecentric adapters and motorised zoom and focus.

Detented lenses improve ease of use and accuracy in image measurement applications.

Motorized Zoom Lenses

Telecentric Zoom

Hall Effect Solid State Sensor Technology

  • Hall-Effect solid-state sensor technology integrated into motorized zoom lenses.
  • Hall-Effect sensors are unaffected by ambient light, environmental contamination, and variations in line voltage.
  • Motorize the zoom and focus, or just zoom.
  • Motorized controllers feature single or dual axis control via serial RS-232 or USB.
  • Control systems available as table top or board level for the OEM.
  • Software includes Windows interface and National Instruments Labview “VI”.

More Robust Design

Navitar’s motorization design, available on the 12X and Zoom 6000 systems, integrates magnetic Hall-Effect sensors to reference position location. Hall-Effect sensors are solid state devices with no moving parts. The Hall-Effect sensing mechanism utilizes a magnetic field to trigger a pulse in a semiconductor circuit. Compared to photo-electric sensors, the Hall-Effect sensors are not affected by harsh, dirty or dusty environments, ambient room light, or variation in system voltages.

Motorized zoom lenses include LabVIEW “VI” and Windows user interface. They can be controlled via serial RS-232 or USB. The control system is available as either table top or board level.

Users can choose to motorize the zoom and focus axis, or just the zoom. We have three different motor types available:

  • 2 Phase Stepping Motor (Faulhaber).
  • 5 Phase Stepping Motor (Oriental, Vexta).
  • DC Servo with Encoder (Faulhaber)

The World’s First Parfocal Telecentric Zoom Lens

The 12X Telecentric Zoom system allows users to reach a true telecentric condition to within less than 0.3° while maintaining constant perspective and magnification. This means that even if the object is slightly out of focus, the size of the image will not change. The 12X Telecentric Zoom provides field coverage from 50 mm down to 4 mm and the coaxial illumination allows clear viewing, even when working with mirror-like surfaces.

Wide Magnification Range and Ultra Long Working Distance

In the past, a telecentric lens was defined as having fixed magnification. Not anymore! The Navitar 12X Telecentric Zoom lens allows you to zoom in and focus over a wide variety of magnifications with a higher level of accuracy than you ever thought possible. The 12X Telecentric provides adjustable focal lengths over a 0.16X to 1.94X magnification range. You no longer have to be limited by telecentric lenses that only offer fixed magnification. Now you have field coverage from 50 mm down to 4 mm at a 188 mm working distance.

It’s ideal for measuring three-dimensional objects with deep features, such as precision parts and electrical connector pins and contacts. It’s also the perfect lens for viewing inconsistently placed parts on a conveyer belt
